The Shoei RF-1400 Nocturne is the latest addition to SHOEI’s RF line, a series of road riding helmets that dates back to almost four decades. Launched in 2021, the RF-1400 is designed with a focus on innovative technology, providing both top-notch safety features and unbeatable comfort.

Tested in SHOEI’s wind tunnel facility, the RF-1400 offers excellent aerodynamics and optimized ventilation. It boasts of six air intake and four exhaust vents strategically placed to maintain a cool comfort even during hot rides. Compared to its predecessor, the RF-1200, upward lift and drag in this helmet were significantly reduced.

The helmet features a new, airtight window beading that provides a sturdy wind and waterproof seal of the shield. The CWR-F2 shield offers a clear view, protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays. The shield release button is conveniently located in the center of the helmet for a smooth lift.

Constructed with multiple layers of fiberglass and a dual-layer, multi-density EPS liner, the RF-1400 helmet guarantees impact protection in case of accidents. The helmet also incorporates Max-Dry interior material, which absorbs and dissipates sweat two times faster than conventional nylon interiors. This liner is easily removable and washable.

Available in multiple colors and graphics, this helmet is Snell M2020D and DOT approved and weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces.
